imagine child legislators
capitals filled with kids
playing during recess
the occasional fussing
with missed naps
an argument or two
over toys or turns
at the swing
kids could do better
than these business suit babies
fighting and crying
squabbling and throwing
tantrums and pouting
session after session
if we simply cannot legislate
for the children, why not
let them do it themselves?
clearly they could do
no worse
